Welcome to the home of Patrick Lerjen, musician/producer living in Berne Switzerland.

Patrick's studio is situated in Kulturzentrum PROGR Bern. In January 2023 Patrick moved to a new room within PROGR which is somewhat bigger and serves as a rehearsal-, recording- producing- smallconcerts-room.
Former iterations of Patrick's studio where called Slow Breeder or Bussi Studio, this new Room is called «imBuuch», swiss german for «inTheTummy».

Patricks Background...
Born in 1971, Lerjen grew up in Zermatt and Brig in the southern Swiss alps. During his apprenticeship as electrician he started to play in local synth- and art-rock bands and was involved in creating music ever since.
1990 he moved to the Swiss capital Berne, he studied guitar and Jazz. In the '90s he'd been playing mostly experimental- and minimal-jazz with the likes of Don Li, Fabian Kuratli, Björn Meyer, Wolfgang Zwiauer, Nik Bärtsch, Oli Kuster, Werner Hasler, Christophe Schweizer, Gilbert Paeffgen and others. He was part of the Tonus Music Collective and leader of his own group called Three Base Hit.
During this time Lerjen spend a lot of energy in developing his emotional but minimalistic guitar stile until, on the brink to the new millennium he was in need of a new perspective: In search of inspiration he was drawn to electronic music, was collaborating in several live-electronica-formations and finally started his indie- synth-pop outfit Electric Blanket together with singer Helena Danis with whom he released four albums and played shows and festivals over the course of thirteen years.
More and more Lerjen started to mix and produce for artists like Helenka, Katzenheim, Porok Karpo, Matto Rules, The Espionne, Electric Blanket, Paradisco, Aeiou, Melk and many more. He was producer, guitarist and musical director for Tibetan-rock outfit Porok Karpo.
In 2019 Lerjen decided to focus on his solo-project Silver Birch, the only exception being his evolvement in the german-krautrock-band Katzenheim.
